Mary Ann and Jamie Gallagher purchased J. Smith Excavating in August 2023.  The family has owned other businesses including Benjamin's Books and Shadow Lawn Inn.  Mary Ann has also held project management positions with Irving Oil, Bell Aliant and Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities while Jamie has worked with JD Irving, Xerox and most recently as the President / CEO of the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation. Family means everything to Mary Ann and Jamie.  They are the proud parents of four children: Daniel, Mac, Eliza and Nora. The family is excited to dig their boots into this business and continue the great work of this excavation and aggregate business that started 18 years ago.
